Our Mission
Objectives
The number of children with Autism is increasing, and there is a scarcity of professionals in this field. The start of a Diploma Course is required to address the demands of Special Education Departments, Regular Education Institutions, and parents of children with Autism. It will also give trained professionals who will support parents and meet the needs of people with autism. All those with the necessary academic background will be able to enroll in the diploma program and subsequently find work in both private and public sectors. The following are the key objectives of the diploma:
- Equip successful graduates with sufficient knowledge, skills and expertise required to work with and to support of children with ASD.
- Enable successful graduates to plan, organize and evaluate educational and behavioral management plans for children with ASD.
Clinical Practice
After the successful completion of the course work, there shall be a Clinical Practice for 3 months. The successful completion of Clinical Practice is a compulsory requirement for the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Evaluation of this course will be based on the Case study and portfolio; jointly assessed by the faculty and the cooperating supervisor.
